Controversial UN Child's Rights Treaty is an Assult on Your Parental Rights

When I heard about this I was appalled. This treaty was first brought in front of President Clinton in 1995 but he refused to sign it. Now congress with Barbara Boxer taking the lead is attempting to get it on President Obama's desk. It is meant to protect children but instead if signed the UN led by a group from Switzerland will tell you how to educate and discipline your children. The only video I found to embed is kind of shaky so if you are looking for a better one you can go to Fox News.

Here is a great article that explains this in further detail.

Boxer Seeks to Ratify U.N. Treaty That May Erode U.S. Rights

I am still trying to figure out what we can do to prevent the president from signing this. Stay tuned for more updates on this very important issue.

This gave me the shivers in the Clinton era. I pray it gets dropped again!

It doesn't erode anyones rights, regardless of the scare stories I've heard on the web. It's there to protect children, and does.

There's no reason for it to be used against you, it's very clear on what it is for, but it's not designed for middle America, it's designed to work against the sweatshops and the perversions.

s'me, If that is the case than the US does not need to sign this treaty. We don't have sweat shops. So I guess I am still against it. It will still make matters worse.

Since Clinton didn't sign it, I hope that Obama does the same. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I heard about this during that time period when my children were still quite young. I only know that it scared me then and I thought it was wrong and I don't like it no better that mine are grown who do these people think they are

If the whole world is for it it's surprising that only two countries are against. I am for child protection as I am for women protection and animal protection !
